Role

AwanTunai is looking for a Data Annotator Intern who will be  responsible for assisting with data labeling and quality checks on our document-to-text extraction software that involves annotating, verifying, and organizing data, such as invoices and bank statements, to ensure high-quality data standards for our projects. 

Responsibilities

  • Manually annotate and label various data points on documents, such as invoices and bank statements, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

  • Collaborate with the data science team to align on annotation guidelines, standards, and priorities.

  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure the extracted data from third-party software meets accuracy standards.

  • Identify patterns, trends, and inconsistencies in data to improve annotation guidelines and workflows.

  • Document and report any software-related issues or inaccuracies that impact the data quality.

Requirements

  • Fresh graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work.

  • Basic understanding of data labeling, data entry, and quality assurance processes.

  • Proficiency in using Google Suite (Spreadsheet, Document, etc.). Knowledge in Web App will be advantageous.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with team members.

  • A keen interest in learning more about data science and data-driven processes.
